Trelawney Garden Centre run tallest sunflower competition

Schoolchildren are being reminded there?s still time to get their sunflowers looking their best ready to enter into a competition run by the Trelawney garden centre.

Earlier this year, the Barnstaple garden centre gave away sunflower seeds to children, who are now being invited to send in the measurements of the sunflowers they have grown, as well as photographic proof before 5pm on Sunday, September 21.

Caroline Howell-Williams, general manager, said: ?We hope everyone who collected a packet of seeds has been taking care of their sunflowers during the summer in order to get them looking their best ready for judging.?
