Vitax lead the way in sustainability

Vitax continue to show its commitment to the environment by calling on visitors at this year?s National Forest Wood Fair to bring their plastic pots in for recycling in exchange for Grow Pots ? a product from its popular biodegradables range.?

Taking place this August Bank Holiday (Monday, August 25) from 9am to 6pm, each visitor can recycle a maximum of eight pots, for which they will receive the same amount of 8cm round Grow Pots.

The environmentally friendly and organic pots have been designed to allow essential moisture and nutrients to reach seeds and plants to ensure healthy growth.

With good strength and flexibility, the Grow Pots also help to minimise root disturbance as the roots grow freely through the sides of the pot, which then biodegrades into the soil.

The sustainability drive is part of Vitax?s two-year sponsorship of The National Forest?s Wood Fair. Celebrating its tenth year this August, the National Forest Wood Fair is set to attract more than 5,000 visitors from across the UK.

The Fair will feature over 100 exhibitors and live demonstrations of woodworking skills, craft displays and chainsaw sculpting, and raising awareness about The National Forest and the need to protect and cherish the environment.
