Westland to highlight houseplants at Gardeners’ World Live

Houseplants have been one of the biggest trends in gardening in the past few years, with year-on-year sales being up 15% percent .This something which Westland will be celebrating at Gardeners’ World Live 2019 in its sponsorship of the Pyramid Stage at the show.

As one of the leading names in horticulture Westland is well placed to offer insight and advice on how to care for houseplants. Throughout the show Westland will be sharing top indoor gardening tips with talks led by Gardeners’ Question Time regular Matt Biggs.

Matt will be giving two “Indoor Gardening with Westland” talks each day, as well as being on hand to answer questions from the audience. Highlights will include tips for orchid care and how to create the right environment make them feel at home, as well as how to care for green foliage plants. He will also explore the current trends of cacti and succulents. He will be using Westland products to demonstrate how to best care for these plants and to make them thrive indoors.

Products on display will be Westland’s orchid care range of water, feed, compost and mist, as well as houseplant compost and feed, cacti and succulent compost and feed, Hydroleca Clay Granules and Resolva Natural Power Bug and Mildew to help protect from pests.

As part of the sponsorship, Westland has provided the goody bags for the press launch for the show. Each bag contains a selection of products that will be used in Matt’s talks including houseplant feed, orchid water and a watering indicator stick.

“Indoor Gardening with Westland” talks will take place on the Pyramid Stage, near the Plant Pyramid on Thursday 13th June at 12:00 and 4pm, Friday 14th June at 12:00 and 4pm, Saturday 15th June at 11am and 4pm, and Sunday 16th June at 10am and 2pm.
