White Stores have raised ?2,691.20 for the Greenfingers children?s hospices charity.
The UK?s leading outdoor living retailer of garden furniture & accessories donated 10% of net sales on all products sold during Garden Re-Leaf Day 2015, Greenfingers? national fundraising event day, on March 27.
Greenfingers create magical new gardens at children?s hospices across the UK. The chance for families and friends to spend time together outdoors, and away from the bedside, is precious and can bring many benefits to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Managing director of White Stores, James Whiteley said: “We are thrilled that we have raised this money for such a great cause, but none of this would have been possible without the generosity of our customers.
?White Stores more than doubled our normal day’s sales on Garden Re-Leaf Day this year.
?Many shoppers told us they specifically decided to buy their garden furniture from us, rather than another retailer, after our staff had mentioned Greenfingers and they’d read more about this innovative charity on our website.
?Our customers, like the rest of us here at White Stores, jumped at the chance to do something positive for Greenfingers and the amazing work they do for children and families nationwide.”
Linda Petrons, head of fundraising at Greenfingers, added: ?On behalf of everyone here at Greenfingers thank you so much for generously supporting Greenfingers Garden Re-Lead 2015.
?We are thrilled that White Stores raised such a huge amount which will help us continue our work creating magical and inspiring gardens for children in hospices, and their families to enjoy.?
