Wyevale Nurseries helps with ‘Forest of Imagination’

Wyevale Nurseries has helped with a contemporary arts event taking place this month in Bath.

Wyevale Nurseries has supplied and loaned plants and trees to the international landscape architects Grant Associates, who have designed the ?Forest of Imagination?.

Andrew Congera, sales manager at Wyevale Nurseries, which is based in Hereford, said: ?This is the second year we have been involved in this project and helped Grant Associates with its plant and tree needs.

?We have supplied and loaned items including birch trees, clematis, dwarf grasses, Galium odoratum, Ajuga reptens, Carpinus betulus fastigiata, wild garlic and wild strawberries.

?The Forest of Imagination is a fantastical landscape and outdoor gallery showcasing a series of artworks and architectural structures.

?From May 15 until 18 Bath?s historic Queen Square will be transformed into a magical Forest of Imagination.

?A team of local creative organisations and renowned artists will come together to stage this free, four day, contemporary arts event in the city.

?The Forest of Imagination features a playful programme of installations, artworks and activities for all ages.

?We work very closely with Grant Associates and are delighted we could help them again with this arts event.?

Bath-based creative partners involved include children?s charity 5x5x5=creativity, award-winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, design studio Ideas of the Mind, Herman Miller Cares, Bath Illuminate, Carpenter Oak, Bath Spa University and The House of Fairy Tales.

Artists and designers already signed up to the event include Edwina Bridgeman, Jono Burgess, Jessica Palmer, John East, and students from Bath Spa University.

Andrew Grant, Director of Grant Associates, said: ?The Forest of Imagination reinvents Queen Square as an artistic, playful world where the creative spirit of the city has fun with this familiar Georgian landscape. We would like to say a big ?thank you? to Wyevale Nurseries for the support with this project.?

Alongside the outdoor gallery, ?The House of Imagination? held at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution in Queen Square, will present a creative learning programme of workshops giving children and adults the opportunity to be immersed in creative enquiry alongside professional contemporary artists, designers and architects.
