Zest smashes annual charity target after only six months

Garden furniture, grow your own and decorative garden structure specialist, Zest has already smashed its fundraising target in support of the British Heart Foundation (BHF), its chosen charity of the year for 2022.  Just six months into the programme, it has already raised almost £10,500, against the annual goal of £10,000!

From the Manchester marathon to a month-long ‘dechox’ to a quiz night, cake bake and ‘wear red’ day, Zest personnel have put heart and soul into raising money for this worthwhile cause.  In April, a group of 18 employees joined by international suppliers tackled the Manchester Marathon, raising nearly £6,500 in the process! The British Heart Foundation helps and supports 340,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Wales.

Steve Morgan, Managing Director of Zest commented: “I’m thrilled that we’ve already beaten the £10,000 target, but everyone is determined to keep on raising funds. There are still lots of events left like the Clwydian Three Peaks challenge this month, Tough Mudder, an exercise bike challenge and the Flintshire 5k/10k in October, to name but a few.”

Over the last twelve years, Zest employees and their P&A Group colleagues have raised more than £120,000 for a variety of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, Cancer Research UK, Action for Children, Alzheimer’s Society, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Meningitis Now.  To donate to the company’s British Heart Foundation fundraising page, please visit www.p-a-group.com/charity.

Zest was established in 2005 to bring high quality, sustainable timber garden products to garden centres, online retailers, builders’ merchants, and major purchasing groups across the UK.  For further information about Zest’s GYO, decorative and furniture products, visit www.zestoutdoorliving.co.uk.
